We are ready for spring around here. It’s been snowing here in Colorado since 7:30 am! We ventured out in it this morning and watched many cars slide around and heard numerous accident alerts on the radio. I love my Honda Accord for driving so nice on snow! We made our 2 quick stops and came home. Last Friday I had bought a little bouquet of tulips from the grocery store because I am ready for the snow to be done. When I see tulips my spring fever begins! I was unable to get to shooting them due to getting my house in order for my parents to be here, we are finishing our basement! (another post…hee hee) So after we got home from driving in the snow, it was the perfect time and perfect conditions for shooting my tulips. With all that even light coming in through my sliding glass doors I couldn’t resist. My daughter also couldn’t resist getting into my set-up to smell the flowers. They don’t have a scent but she doesn’t care. When she sees blooms she must smell. I am still playing around with the flower shots so here are a few of my girl doing her thing and getting in Mama’s way. 
This last weekend I had the honor of photographing my cousin’s family. I had so much fun hanging out with them for the afternoon and capturing them as a family. I took some photos of their son back in September, Christian, he has changed so much. I love watching parents with their children and how they interact with each other. They have a beautiful connection and Christian did so well through the session. When I did his newborn photos he didn’t want to sleep at all but this time he got tired of us and went to sleep. We captured some great shots of him with his Dad while he slept.

My good friend, Carrie, ‘let’ me capture a few images of her beautiful little girl this past weekend. I know that all of Jeff & Carrie’s family and friends are so excited that God gave them the most precious gift…..Addison. She is truly a Miracle! I had such a great time with them on Sunday and Addie was just perfect. She actually slept and I was so excited! 
She kept us on our toes…I can’t tell you how many times she peed. On everything we put her on or in and got her Dad really good! Good Times!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of doing an engagement session for my Sister-in-Law. You probably recognize this couple from when they modeled for me back in June. Around a month after I took those photos, Ralph proposed to Steph on the 4th of July. Spending time with them, taking their photos, has given me an insight into their love and it is infectious. We think Ralph is so good to Steph and are so excited for them to be getting married in ‘08. Congrats you guys!

Yesterday morning I was able to go over to a friends house to take some pictures of their son, Bennett. He is so precious and was such a trooper with my cold hands and moving him around. Just like the other 2 boys Christian and Andrew (Andrew & Bennett are cousins), he wanted to keep an eye on me and fought going to sleep. I only got shots of him with his eyes closed when his eyes just couldn’t stand it anymore and had to close…..but only for a few short seconds. Silly Boy! Big brother Grant was so good, too. He’d come over and check out what we were doing and then go back to his business.

I had so much fun capturing this little man. He too (like Christian a couple weeks back) wanted to keep an eye on me and fought going to sleep. He was awesome! He’d move around and find me and then stop and check me out, wondering who I was and what in the world was going on. He was naked, fed 3 times, and this black thing that made noises was in his face…something was up. I’m so excited about this set of images and can’t wait to share them……so here they are!
