I lived in NE for 20 years and now that I have been elsewhere for the last 9 I see it differently now. It’s weird because a couple years ago I didn’t see it any different then before. A small town that I wanted to leave. I am finding new things that are drawing my photographic eye and it’s been fun! As you can tell I’ve had more photos from there then ever! Well here are 2 more from yesterday when I went to bring my daughter back home after staying with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend. I’m really digging these and they are different then what I mostly see of these monuments. I like how ‘moody’ they are with the darkness and clouds.

This scene is also by Chimney Rock, just to the left if you look at the pics posted before this. The sun was shining a beautiful orange on the rock and with the blue sky and green grass….love it! :)

These are some pics of Chimney Rock in Bayard, Ne. To think that I lived there for 20 years and never got pics this great. Took 9 years of being away to then go back and take these shots. I think Mother Nature was on my side this day helping me out with the great light and clouds. :) I also for the first time found out that there is a little (and when I say little I mean little…couldn’t be 10×10 one room) sod house not to far from Chimney Rock that my Great Great Grandparents lived and raised their family. It’s to bad we couldn’t get to it because it’s on private property.
