Hey there everyone! Sorry I’ve been somewhat MIA this week. To be honest the holiday season kind of snuck up on me so I’ve been trying to figure out my strategy for gifts and such. Instead of keeping up on my photography news and info I’ve been shopping online for ideas and gifts. I’m one of those people who *loves* to give that perfect gift that will make my loved ones eyes sparkle when they open it up. I get all of my joy out of Christmas by giving to my family.

I found out today that The Boutwell’s are going to run a “Black Friday” sale on their Totally Rad Actions. So if you’ve been thinking about buying these actions for Photoshop CS2 or later then next Friday would be the perfect time. They are going to be $35.00 off.

Matt over at Lightroom Killer Tips wrote this great post the other day called ‘Why Lightroom‘. You’ve seen me write many times about how much I love this program and Matt talks about why you should use Lightroom. His simple answer is “it’s just easier” and I completely agree! Check it out! Also, Adobe came out with the new Lightroom 1.3 upgrade which solves problems Lightroom was having with the new Mac OS Leopard. I had upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard a couple weeks ago and had a terrible time with Lightroom not working. So I decided to go back to Tiger because Lightroom was so much more important to me. Now that the update is out for Lightroom I’m going to reconsider upgrading to Leopard again.

You must check out the gorgeous humungous canvas prints that the image is found studio put up in their studio space. Just awesome prints! I’m totally drooling over these wrap canvas prints and one of these days I’m going to get one.

Yesterday I finally decided to buy the Gary Fong Origami flash diffuser. I got an email today that it has shipped so once I use it we’ll see what I think. I’m a little unsure but I’ve read and seen such great things from his flash diffusers and since this one is only $30 thought I would check it out. I’ll let you know what I think, I hope to use it for the holiday snap shots to test it out.

Tomorrow we’re getting our family portrait! Hope it works out ok, one never knows with a 2.5 yr old. Why is it that I’m more nervous and unsure about getting my picture taken then to take someone else’s? It’s good to get in front of the camera so I can feel how my clients feel…right? Ha!
