This is a photo that I used in my Christmas card and I thought that I would show you the before and after of the image. I used Lightroom 1.2 to process the RAW file. This first image is straight out of the camera with no processing, only a little cropping at the top to take out the top of the chair.

Adjustments I made to the image were exposure, added vignette, clarity, and sharpen. Then I ran the ‘Aged Photo’ preset that Lightroom provides in the software for you. The only thing I adjusted after the preset was the vignette to make a bit more dramatic. I love the finished look and really moves your focus to her eyes then her orange shirt.

Thanks for showing the before and after. I love what you did with the image! This is one more thing that convinces me I need to make the switch to Lightroom. Arrggh, change is painful!! :)
